Everyone deserves access to the wonders of the library. The Shelby County Public Library Bookmobile Services makes that easier by bringing library resources, services and materials to convenient locations throughout the county.

Visit our Bookmobile to:

  • Sign up for a library card
  • Browse our collection of large print, regular print, YA, and children's books
  • Speak with a librarian for recommendations and reference services

  • Simpsonville Feed Bucket
  • Waddy Baptist Church

Interested in becoming Bookmobile patron, download and print the form and drop it off at the library.
 

The mission of the Bookmobile/Outreach Services is to provide a variety of formats of information, materials, and free services to Shelby County residents who are homebound due to permanent or temporary disability, assisted living and nursing home facilities, state certified daycares and community stops.


We are also a part of the Kentucky Talking Book program offered through the Kentucky Department of Library and Archives, which provides access to hundreds of audiobooks free of charge.talking books

We’ll help you fill out the application and mail it in, and you’ll have audiobooks delivered to your door.
