The Shelby County Historical Society and the Shelby County Public Library are pleased to present a very special program featuring Tish Boyer, Registrar and Head of Collections at the Frazier History Museum in Louisville.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Ms. Boyer will present Love and Marriage, an engaging program exploring wedding traditions throughout Kentucky’s history. Her presentation will cover fashion, jewelry, décor, and gifting customs, highlighting how weddings have evolved over the decades.
Adding to the experience, Ms. Boyer will bring along authentic vintage Kentucky wedding dresses and other fascinating wedding-related artifacts to share with attendees. Ms. Boyer played a key role in curating the Frazier History Museum’s current exhibition, also titled Love and Marriage. The exhibit showcases an elegant collection of vintage wedding dresses, accessories, and groom’s attire worn by Kentuckians through the years, including one ensemble from a Shelby County bride.

The Love and Marriage exhibition at the Frazier History Museum will remain open through March 2026.
