Propagation Station

About this event
We’re thrilled to share that the Shelby County Public Library is launching a brand-new propagation station this month, and everyone in the community is invited to join in the fun! You don’t even need a library card to participate, so come on by to donate, swap, or adopt some wonderful plant cuttings!
Here’s how you can get involved:
Donating - Take an empty jar and add water. If you need help, visit the Main Circulation Desk. Write the date and the name of the plant in the guestbook and on a tag, then attach the tag to the jar.
Adopting - Pick any plant cutting on display. Write the date and the plant name in the guestbook. To keep it safe for transport, moisten a paper towel, wrap the cutting in it, and place it in a plastic bag.
Note: The Library cannot accept whole plants in pots with dirt.
