Shred-It Day

The Shelby County Public Library is hosting Shred-It Day on Saturday, August 2, from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM in the Carnegie Library Center parking lot. This free community event offers residents a secure way to dispose of personal documents, helping to prevent identity theft and declutter homes.

Knighthorst Shredding will be on-site to handle the shredding process, ensuring that all materials are destroyed safely and efficiently. Participants are encouraged to bring up to three boxes of documents per vehicle. Please note that items such as binders, plastic materials, and electronic media cannot be accepted.

Whether you're clearing out old tax records, bank statements, or other sensitive paperwork, Shred-It Day provides a convenient and secure solution. No registration is required—just drive up and drop off your documents for shredding.
